Alexia Echevarria, the so-called “Cuban Barbie,” is in debt to IRS by more than $140,000.
Alexia Echevarria, a star on the Bravo reality TV show Real Housewives of Miami, owes $142,811.31 in unpaid income taxes for the year 2014.
The debt was listed in a tax lien filed in Miami-Dade County and first reported by Jose Lambiet of GossipExtra.com.
The self-proclaimed “Cuban Barbie” is the executive editor of Venue, a Spanish-language magazine in Miami which was run by Echevarria’s ex-husband, Herman Echevarria, who passed away in September.
This not the first time Echevarria has been in trouble with the IRS. In 2012, the IRS filed a lien against her and her then-husband for $94,000 in unpaid taxes. Two years, the couple were able to pay off the tax debt.
