SINGER COURTNEY LOVE SETTLES IRS DEBT WITH WHOPPER CHECK
The former Hole frontwoman settled her federal tax debt by paying more than $300,000.
Singer and actress Courtney Love finally got the Internal Revenue Service off her back.
According to reporting by The Blast, Love, the former frontwoman of the alternative rock band Hole and the widow of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, cut a check to the IRS for $319,749.27, ending her years-long battle with the tax-collecting agent over unpaid taxes from 2012.
First famous for her relationship with Cobain, Love went on to have a successful music and acting career following her late husband’s suicide.
Hole’s album Live Through This, released just four days after Cobain was found dead, was a commercial success. She later acted in the movies The People vs. Larry Flynt, Man on the Moon, and Trapped.
