RAPPER MASTER P OWES $1.5 MILLION IN BACK TAXES
The taxes due came after Master P’s record label filed for bankruptcy in 2003.
The rapper, actor, businessman and former basketball player known as Master P owes $1.5 million in back taxes to the Internal Revenue Service, according to documents obtained by The Blast.
Master P, whose real name is Percy Robert Miller, first came to fame through the hip hop group TRU before going on as a solo artist. His second album, Ghetto D, went platinum. Master P also starred in a film about his life, I’m Bout It.
Master P went on to release 13 albums, and in 2013, Forbes magazine estimated his net worth at $350 million. But the rapper and businessman has had his share of hard times. His record label, No Limit Records, filed for bankruptcy in December 2003. According to documents obtained by The Blast, Master P owes taxes for 2004, 2005 and 2008.
